Commissioning Terms of Agreement for FlyingFire

Clients and Consultation:

1. Clients must provide me with a clear and concise description, visual references, or materials of the commission proposal. This will be part of the initial consultation period between myself and the client and allow for preliminary quotation.

2. I have a particular artistic style, which you should already be familiar with if you are interested in commissioning me. Please be aware that I am not able to reproduce all other styles, however I welcome suggestions and inquiries for this.

3. A full deposit is required to begin the work, which will be discussed during the initial consultation. This will vary depending on the commissioned work.

4. Changes and corrections work in 2 stages. The sketching stage and the final stage. The sketching stage consists of character/characters, their pose and background (if any). The character/pose sketch section will allow for alterations in the initial positioning and details. Major changes can only be made during the sketch stage. Additional correction stages / major changes can be purchased for an additional fee. (Some commission types may have more or fewer correction opportunities, traditional media in inks for example are almost impossible to correct in final stages. The commissioner gets 3 major changes before a fee comes into play.)

5. I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason.

6. I reserve the right to stop work for any client who is not treating me with respect or in a professional manner, being rude,

inappropriate behavior or poor communication. I am providing a service. I therefore ask that clients please take this into account.

Pricing:

1. Prices are determined through initial consultation with the client according to their complexity, difficulty, size and medium of each individual piece.

2. Artwork completed before the final payment is made will not receive the original painting/ drawing or non watermarked digital image of the commission until the full payment has been received.

3. Please make payments in USD. (United States Dollars,) Clients are responsible for the cost of currency conversion.

4. Payment is preferred through PayPal, with the name of the commissioner and their known user handle for identification, unless the username is sexual in some way. Please be aware that Paypal is very picky about anything in notes regarding to anything furry; so no links to furry art or your FA's or other, please.

5. Full refunds only if no work has been done on the commission. If only a sketch has been worked on, depending on the complexity of this, then a partial payment can be refunded, less the cost of the work completed. This is normally around 50% of the total payment. Once the sketch is approved and coloring has begun there can be no refunds. This also goes for anything above sketch level.

6. Sketches under specials prices will not be offered a refund if work has already begun.

Adoptables

1. Creation: In general, I don't mind creating adoptable characters of any type, but there are limits. I will not draw an adoptable that has phallus hands or is a giant phallus or something similar.

2. Use: You may, of course, use your new adoptable in any way you like. As long as:

I'm not just creating a character used for immediate death, torture, or that will die the first or second time you use it. When I create an adoptable, I expect it to go to a good home where people will take care of it, use it, and treat it well.

3. If I find this to have been abused, I will reclaim your ownership of said character and give it to someone I know will take care of it, or I will keep it for myself. I will not tolerate abuse of my creations.
You can read more about this in my other guidelines in this pages document.

Completion time:

1. I have a queue for Commissions, I work on 3 – 4 Commissions at any point in time, therefore I do not use a “slot” system except in specific events. Commissions become active in the order they are queued in. Please feel free to contact me to check when yours will be up coming. Clients are encouraged to check in with me when they feel it is necessary for updates, assurance or reminders.

2. Traditional Art tends to vary depending on the complexity or events which are held. Sketch events on traditional media will take a day, however time to digitalising them may extend beyond this owing to time constraints and access to technology to do this.

3. Digital media pieces vary on their complexity, difficulty, size and medium of each individual piece. Large commissions can take up to 3 to 4 months to complete once they have begun. The client during this period will be given updates on their commission and additional time to discuss the commissioned work with myself.

4. If you have a specific deadline this must be discussed in the consultation period, and may incur an additional fee.

Rights of Commissioners:

1. For all artwork all image rights remain with me including reproduction and publishing rights, online and in print. Clients are allowed to repost their work online for free, and to make prints for their own use, but cannot sell reproductions (inc. prints) of the work or charge a fee to view the work. Consent is still needed prior to the redistribution of all artwork I produce.

2. If I publish or sell prints of your piece you will receive a mention of credit and character copyright on the work but no monetary compensation.

3. If you would like your image to not be posted online, streamed online, or reproduced in print you must inform me of this during the consultation period.

4. All artwork which is commissioned must have an accrediting note which links back to myself as the artist, and must have had permissions granted beforehand.
